Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the photography program at Georgia State University offers a comprehensive course of instruction that provides broad exposure to the possibilities within the medium, including interdisciplinary and non-traditional experimentation. GSU is one of the largest and most diverse universities in the country and our students reflect a wide range of experiences, backgrounds and motivations - all coming together to make art and form community.

Our faculty consist of accomplished, working artists who teach the full spectrum of lens-based image making. Ranging from cutting edge digital technology, video, performance and sculptural practice to traditional darkroom techniques and 19th century processes - our approach is holistic and inclusive.
